SPECIAL CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION FROM THE ARIZONA CENTER FOR INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE

Residents that complete at least 80% of the required curricular modules and pass the final exam which covers the ACIM web-based material (must achieve 70% correct in 3 attempts) will receive a special certificate from the ACIM, documenting 200 hours credit applicable towards requirements for Board Certification in Integrative Medicine (likely coming in 2013).  Thought still in the planning stages, it appears the requirements to sit for the Integrative Medicine Board exam and eventual certification will be some number of hours of accepted education and practice time – thus successful completion of this program will not only give residents an in depth exposure to broad areas of Integrative Medicine, but will also be a significant step towards board certification.
