Why UCI?

Being able to experience both the academic setting with other specialists in the main hospital and to take care of underserved patients in Santa Ana in an FQHC facility meant a lot to me. The staff were really friendly, and I felt very much welcomed and at home despite it being far from my hometown. Plus, Southern California had its draw, with all its beaches and sunlight.

Medical Interests:

Urban underserved medicine, Geriatrics, Global Health, and medical missions

Hobbies:

Reading (more nonfiction recently), yoga, hiking, listening to and playing music, trying to keep plants alive

Fun Fact(s):

I have a weakness for pastries and dog videos. When I was in South Korea, I lived on an eel farm!

Future Plans:

I want to work in an underserved urban area! It can honestly be anywhere in the United States, so planning for the future will be quite an exploration!
