Why UCI?

The flexibility and versatility of this program is what drew me to UCI. No matter what you're interested in, there are faculty members and support systems to help you build your career around those interests. Our home and our commitment is with the underserved populations of Orange County, particularly the Latino/a community of Santa Ana, but we also benefit greatly from the resources and specialist access of a large academic center. Bonus: my co-residents are all incredible, and southern California is one of the best places to live!

Medical Interests:

Health communication/media, medical education, community medicine, street medicine, advocacy

Hobbies:

Music, reading, puzzles, producing/editing videos, running, eating, listening to podcasts

Fun Facts: 

I play the piano, mallet percussion instruments (especially the marimba), and a traditional Chinese instrument called the pipa. I also have a YouTube channel where I vlog about life and medicine!

Future Plans:

I'd love to do each of the following someday: precept and teach students/residents; produce medicine-related educational media; work/volunteer at a free clinic; do some inpatient work; do street outreach. Not all at the same time (phew), but hopefully at some point in my career!
