Special Interests

Medically underserved ▪ Homeless street outreach ▪ mentoring youth ▪ Global health in Nicaragua

Personal Interests:

Travel (local and abroad), sports, food (pretty good cook, better eater), and enjoying the outdoors.

Fun Fact about yourself:

I grew up in a Colombian and Italian household and keep strong ties to both cultures (though my soccer skills lag a little behind where they should be),

Why did you choose UCI?

For its strong social mission in training family medicine physicians to care for underserved populations, in addition to the opportunity to practice, teach, and learn full-spectrum family medicine in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Future plans?

Professionally, my goal comes down to being the type of family doctor my role models during residency were- ones who are continuously adapting to meet the needs of the community they serve. Non-medically, I'm looking forward to firmly planting roots locally, explore Southern California, and travel as much as possible post-COVID.
